A little extra care can make a big difference for any size flower arrangement or fresh flower bouquet. Most floral arrangements last 4-7 days or longer, depending on the flowers used and the care they receive, if tended to. Here are the three top tips for looking after your flowers:
Fill a clean vase with water and add the flower food provided. Remove all packaging from your flowers. With scissors cut the stems at an angle to allow your flowers a large area to drink from and minimize any bacteria being transferred from the base of your vase. Remove any foliage from your flowers that falls below the water line to discourage bacteria.
Place your flowers in the vase away from draughts, radiators and fruit.
To ensure maximum longevity of your flower gift keep the vase topped up regularly with fresh water.
*Please recycle your packaging when you have finished with it.
Some flowers require additional care...please follow the below instructions to ensure you get the best from your flowers.
Roses can droop if let out of water, revive them by putting cut stems into an inch of boiling water for approximately 30 seconds. Remove and place in a clean vase with water
Our lilies may arrive to you in bud; however this means you can enjoy them for longer. By placing the cut stems in lukewarm water it encourages the lilies to open. Lily pollen can stain clothes and furnishings, so we recommend that you remove them with tweezers rather than cutting off. Make sure you remove before the pollen has turned to powder. If some powder does fall on clothing etc, do not rub or wet, just dab tape with tape or hoover to remove.
